Severe weather drags on Wal-Mart 1Q profit

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. reported a 5 percent drop in quarterly profit as severe winter in the United States kept shoppers from its stores.

Net income fell to $3.59 billion from $3.78 billion a year earlier, according to Fox Business.

Sales rose slightly to $114.2 billion.
