The Missouri Division of Workforce Development has listed five area job fairs scheduled within the next month.

On the events calendar at Jobs.Mo.gov, two Springfield fairs and three in Branson are among upcoming recruitment efforts.

In Springfield, the Missouri Career Center and Salvation Army are co-hosting a job search event Sept. 17 to find employment for those in the Salvation Army Harbor House, 636 N. Boonville Ave. Starting at 2 p.m., the Mobile Career Center also will offer resume assistance and a career exploration workshop, according to the calendar notice.

On Oct. 9 in Springfield, the Show-Me Heroes program will host a military-focused hiring event at the Missouri Career Center, 2900 E. Sunshine St. Starting at 9 a.m., the event would allow employers to showcase open jobs for veterans, service members and military spouses.

The three Branson hiring events are scheduled Sept. 16, Sept. 18 and Sept. 30.

During the first event starting at noon at Branson Convention Center, 200 S. Sycamore St., AT&T is hiring several for its new retail store in the city. Jobs include management and sales positions. AT&T's website lists five open positions in Branson.

On Sept. 18 at the Branson location of the Missouri Career Center, 2720 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Ste. B, MasterCorp Inc. has scheduled a 10 a.m.-3 p.m. job fair. MasterCorp, which specializes in resort housekeeping, is hiring cleaners at the Branson event, according to the calendar.

The final Branson event, scheduled Sept. 30-Oct. 2, also is slated to take place at the Missouri Career Center. What's being billed as the first Holiday Hiring Blitz, the event calls on job seekers to come dressed for in-person interviews. Companies represented will include Big Cedar Lodge, Silver Dollar City and Six, a team of theater vocalists.[[In-content Ad]]
