Service Noodle Springfield launches

Posted online
Business database Servicenoodle.com launched its Springfield site late last week.

The site, which is free to users and serves as a database of business service providers, launched in mid-Missouri on May 1, according to Springfield Business Journal coverage.

On the site, users can request a service or estimate by sending a message called a "noodle," which the providers then receives via the site, e-mail and text notification, according to the June 7 SBJ article.

According to the article, Servicenoodle.com, under the umbrella of Columbia-based Service Evolution LLC, intended to release its Springfield version July 1. However, Service Noodle released an update Aug. 6 through its Twitter account saying the site had just launched.

The Springfield site currently has 35 business categories, including: residential and commercial real estate; window, glass and door services; auto mechanical repair services; and siding services.

Service Noodle also links users to businesses in the St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia, Jefferson City, Marshall, Kirsville, Hannibal, Lake of the Ozarks, Sedalia, Joplin, St. Joseph and Cape Girardeau areas, according to the site's career section.
