More than 20 local restaurants will serve varieties of their best chicken wings to be judged by local celebrities and voted on by patrons.
The event, hosted by the Sertoma Club of Springfield and Price Cutter stores, is held 5–10 p.m. at the Shrine Mosque, 601 St. Louis St.
Tickets will be sold for a raffle to win four tickets to the Kansas City Chiefs/Denver Broncos football game, and cash prizes will be given to winners of a wing-eating contest. Attendees also can bid on items in a silent auction.
Bands scheduled to perform include The Morells, The Smart Fellers, Schedule C and the Write-Offs, and What’s Next?
Tickets are $10 from Sertoma members, $12 at area Price Cutter stores and $15 at the door. All proceeds will help pay a week’s tuition for local at-risk children to attend Kids Across America summer camp.
