Senate leaders plan competing bills to end shutdown

The Senate is scheduled to hold competing votes tomorrow in a bid to end the government shutdown.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Republican majority leader, is issuing a proposal to spend $5.7 billion on a border wall.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader, will introduce a bill to fund the government through Feb. 8 without a wall.
