The U.S. Senate yesterday confirmed Alex Azar as secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Azar succeeds Tom Price, who stepped down nearly four months ago after Politico reported he used private jets for official department business.
Azar, 50, was an HHS administrator in the George W. Bush administration. He then became a high-level executive at pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Co.
