Sen. McCain: Putin bigger threat than Islamic State

U.S. Sen. John McCain said Russian President Vladimir Putin is a bigger threat to global security than the Islamic State.

"I think he is the premier and most important threat, more so than ISIS," McCain said in an interview on Australian Broadcasting Corp. television. "I view the Russians as the far greatest challenge that we have."

McCain warned the Senate will push for sanctions against Russia over its alleged interference in the U.S. election last year.
