Sempra Energy bids $9.5B for Oncor, topping Buffett offer

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has been outbid on Texas power transmitter Oncor.

Sempra Energy energing offered to buy Oncor for $9.45 billion and also pick up $9.35 billion of its debt.

Berkshire Hathaway last month offered $9 billion for Oncor.
