SEMO manufacturer granted steel tariff exemption

Mid Continent Steel & Wire was approved for exclusions from tariffs on steel.

The Poplar Bluff-based maker of Magnum Nails said the decision allows the company to “ramp up production levels” and get back on track towards their growth path “before the tariffs went into effect."

The 12-month exclusion releases the company from a 25 percent tax on their raw steel.
