Seminar focuses on workers' compensation

An upcoming seminar will provide multiple viewpoints on recent changes to workers’ compensation laws in Missouri.

Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Manufacturers’ Council, the Ozarks Regional Economic Partnership and Evans & Dixon LLC will present “Current Developments in Workers’ Compensation” 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Aug. 29 at the chamber offices, 202 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway.

According to a chamber newsletter, Shari Lockhart, an attorney with Evans & Dixon LLC, will discuss how to successfully defend claims.

Judge Timothy Wilson will provide his perspective on what he considers important when a mediation or hearing is before him, and Dr. Ted A. Lennerd will address the doctor’s point of view on a workers’ compensation claim, including what medical professionals look for when evaluating or treating employees with workers’ compensation claims.
