Seminar addresses nonprofit financials

U.S. Bank is teaming up with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way of the Ozarks and the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands to offer a special presentation aimed at helping nonprofit entities achieve growth.

Paul Light, a nationally known specialist in nonprofit issues, will present a speech, Nonprofit Life: How It’s Changing and How to Survive the Change, Oct. 23 at the Oasis Convention Center, 2550 N. Glenstone Ave. Registration for the presentation, which will be followed by a panel discussion, begins at 9 a.m. Admission is $25 per person and includes lunch.

“U.S. Bank recognizes that the economic well-being of our customers is supported by the work of the nonprofit sector in promoting community development,” said John S. Wilson, U.S. Bank’s regional president for Springfield and Branson, in a news release.

Joining Wilson in a panel discussion are:

• Lloyd Young, Ph.D., director of Missouri State University’s Community & Social Issues Institute;

• Jim Anderson, president of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce;

• Gary Funk, Ed.D., president of Community Foundation of the Ozarks; and

• John Rush, president/CEO of the United Way of the Ozarks.[[In-content Ad]]
