Dozens of businesspeople contributed to the Springfield mayoral campaigns of Kristi Fulnecky and Ken McClure during the most recent filing period, according to Missouri Ethics Commission filings.

McClure’s campaign received $45,794 in donations and had $22,783 in money on hand during the reporting period. Donors contributed $28,700 to Fulnecky, who had $17,117 in money on hand. McClure and Fulnecky each have raised more than $130,000 total.

Springfield Business Journal examined monetary donations of $500 or more by businesspeople, companies and committees. The latest report comes eight days before the April election.
