The Missouri secretary of state's office has approved the language for a proposed ballot initiative to add a new casino in Lake of the Ozarks.
The proposed ballot initiative would ask voters to amend the state Constitution to allow for a 14th gambling boat license.
The organizers now must pick which one of four proposed petitions to circulate and collect a minimum of 170,000 signatures for the initiative to appear on the ballot in 2024.
