It appears the secret is officially out about Secret Sandwich Shop LLC.
Fresh from relocating to McDaniel Street, the downtown restaurant announced via Facebook plans to rebrand this month as The Sandwich Scene on McDaniel.
Secret Sandwich started with roughly 400 square feet inside Sweet Boy’s Neighborhood Bar, 310 South Ave. The business relocated in June to around 800 square feet of space formerly occupied by Slider’s.
"When we started this little shop, we were hidden in the back of Sweet Boy's," the Facebook post reads. "With the support of our friends, family and fans, we have grown."
Owned by Mack Musgrave, Secret Sandwich Shop worked with Fried Design Co. on the rebranding that included new window graphics, mascots and the name change, according to the Facebook post. Musgrave said this morning the new graphics on the business have been put in place, with an updated website and social media presence to come soon.
Musgrave first teased a name change in August during an interview with Springfield Business Journal. He also detailed plans for a catering expansion.
The sandwich eatery launched in summer 2020, serving sandwiches such as The Prosciutto Happiness and Cubano.
Helping people is the foremost purpose in business for Angela Stephens. The idea for Re-Focus the Creative Office was born to help her son, Drake Stephens, who had started struggling in school in fifth grade.
