It doesn't take much vision to see that computers will continue to shape both the world and the way we view it.
However, Sonshine Electronics & Computers known as SEC experienced that vision 18 years ago, when it first incorporated in Tulsa, Okla.
For the past 12 years the computer sales, service and networking firm has operated out of Springfield, maintaining satellite offices in Tulsa and St. Louis, according to President Joel Reeter.
Reeter maintains that one has to grow with burgeoning technology.
His early work as an electrical engineering contractor later expanded into the area of "programmable logical controllers (PLCs) before the inception of the actual first PC," he said.
In this arena, projects included the design and implementation of satellite uplink systems for Wal-Mart's energy management plan and developing robotic controls for some of Ford Motor Company's operations.
"That was all before the real age of computers got here," Reeter said.
