The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating National Beverage, the maker of the LaCroix line of seltzers.
National Beverage CEO Nick Caporella has said the company “magnified” proprietary sales metrics to create “growth never before thought possible." He also said “retailers are amazed by these methods.”
The SEC is asking National Beverage to explain these measurements “or explain why you do not believe this disclosure is necessary.”
