SEC fines former McDonald's CEO

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission levied a $400,000 fine against former McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook.

He's accused of misrepresenting his November 2019 firing.

He was fired for an inappropriate relationship with an employee. McDonald's since has claimed he covered up additional relationships with employees.
