The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Elon Musk have agreed to settle a lawsuit filed over the purchase of Twitter in 2022.
The lawsuit alleged Musk violated securities law in the run-up to the acquisition of Twitter, now X.
Musk's revocable trust is slated to pay a $1.5 million civil penalty as part of the settlement.
