Sebelius resigns after troubles over health site

Kathleen Sebelius, the health and human services secretary, is resigning, ending a stormy five-year tenure marred by the disastrous rollout of President Obama’s signature legislative achievement, the Affordable Care Act.

Obama will nominate Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, to replace her on Friday morning, according to the New York Times.

Sebelius, 65, dediced to resign and was not asked to leave, officials said. However, much of the heat over the rocky start of HealthCare.gov went in her direction.
