Seattle machinists approve Boeing 777X production contract

Boeing machinists have voted to approve Boeing's latest eight-year contract proposal, securing assembly of the company's new 777X airplane in Washington state.

Twenty-two states had submitted incentive bids for the 777X, including Missouri.

KSDK reports thousands of union members voted Friday after a push from local politicians to accept the proposal. Union leadership had opposed the deal.
