Sears is off to a rough start for its critical holiday shopping season.
That's according to a report from inMarket, which tracks customer traffic at stores via anonymous GPS data from some 50 million shoppers' smartphones.
At Sears and Kmart, foot traffic was down 14 percent over the three days following Thanksgiving compared with a year earlier, according to the data.
