Sears Holdings Corp. announced the layoffs of 220 corporate employees. The cuts are effective immediately.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the majority of the affected workers are employed at Sears' Hoffman Estates, Illinois, headquarters.
The job cuts follow a round of 500 corporate layoffs in March and June last year.
