SDC to debut at usual time after delays in 2020

Posted online

Silver Dollar City is set to open for the season at its normal time this month following a year that included multiple delays brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Branson theme park is scheduled to launch March 17, according to a news release.

Silver Dollar City's website indicates coronavirus safety measures, such as required face masks, temperature screenings and attendance reductions and management, will be implemented.

The debut this spring represents the first full season for $23 million Mystic River Falls attraction, which opened in summer 2020. The replacement to Lost River of the Ozarks was announced in August 2019.

Silver Dollar City last year opened for the season in June after a three-month pandemic delay.
