Scrabble dictionary adds 5,000 new words

Words With Friends just got a little bit  more interesting. Got enough letters for hashtag? That will earn you 14 points. Selfie will get you nine.

The two modern words are part of 5,000 new words added to the Scrabble dictionary.

CNNMoney reports the fifth edition of the game's official dictionary includes 5,000 words that weren't around when the dictionary was last updated in 2005. Words include geocache, which was selected via a social media contest.

Also on the list: emo, mixtape and beatbox.

The previous fourth edition of the dictionary already included 100,000 words.
