Jim Anderson, president of Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, center, was recognized Nov. 20 as a Distinguished Citizen by the Ozark Trails Council Boy Scouts. Presenting the award during the ceremony are U.S. Congressman Roy Blunt, R-Springfield, left, and Ozark Trails Council President-elect John Pratt. Anderson received the award because he sets an example for the community as a role model and mentor for youth and adults alike. In addition to his job, he also serves on numerous local boards and national professional organizations and is currently chairman of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
