Last edited 2:49 p.m., May 3, 2012Springfield-based Scott Loveland Insurance LLC this week completed the purchase of Lebanon-based Anne Doublin Insurance Agency LLC for an undisclosed amount.
"It's a huge opportunity. Anne has built a good business," owner Scott Loveland said.
The Lebanon office, which is being rebranded as Scott Loveland Insurance, is the second brick-and-mortar office for the insurance firm, located in Springfield at 2332 W. Kingsley St., Ste. A.
Loveland said Dorace Burton, office manager for Anne Doublin Insurance Agency, is staying on as the sole employee in Lebanon. The move brings the employee count of Scott Loveland Insurance up to six. Loveland said there are no immediate plans to hire additional employees in Lebanon.
In a separate move, Loveland also closed May 1 on the purchase of the Missouri agency principal partner position for
Agent Support Network of America. The designation allows Loveland to recruit existing insurance agents to build their own businesses, with Loveland collecting a percentage of profits.
"Basically, I have the opportunity to let insurance agents actually own their own book of business," Loveland said.
Scott Loveland Insurance, which was launched in July 2008, handles home, life, automotive, health and businesses insurance polices for about 2,000 clients in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Illinois. Loveland has owned his own agency since 1990.[[In-content Ad]]
