Alderson’s last day with the district is Dec. 20. She will be associate vice president for finance at PCC in Portland, Ore., where she’ll be responsible for budget, finance and accounting, purchasing and mail, safety, and risk management.
“Ms. Alderson has done remarkable work for the Springfield Public Schools in the five-plus years she has been with us,” Superintendent Norm Ridder said in a district news release. “We have become an award-winning district second to none in the areas of school district budgeting and finance. We thank Cherie and wish her well in the great Northwest.”
Alderson currently is paid $89,916, according to district Public Information Officer Robert Keyes. A decision on Alderson’s replacement has not been made.
“I have enjoyed living and working in Springfield and will miss the people I have come to know and work with,” Alderson said in the release.[[In-content Ad]]
