Schoeller names manager for secretary of state race

Posted online
Missouri Rep. Shane Schoeller, R-Willard, has tapped Patrick Morrow as campaign manager for a run at Missouri’s secretary of state post.

Morrow has left his position as chief of staff to Republican State Sen. Jack Goodman, according to a news release from Schoeller’s campaign.

“Patrick has the kind of comprehensive campaign experience that will ensure our campaign has a top-notch fundraising and grassroots organization,” House Speaker Pro Tem Schoeller said in a news release.

Morrow’s 15 years of campaign experience includes roles as political director for Goodman for Congress, regional political director for the McCain 2008 Campaign and political director for Goodman for Senate. He also previously worked for Sen. Kit Bond.

Joining Schoeller in the race for secretary of state are Republican Sens. Bill Stouffer and Scott Rupp and Democrat Rep. Jason Kander.

The primary election is scheduled Aug. 7, and the general election is scheduled Nov. 5.

Incumbent Democrat Robin Carnahan has said she will not run for re-election.

Schoeller, who has served as a top aide for Secretary of State Matt Blunt, is running on a conservative platform.[[In-content Ad]]
