St. Louis-based grocery store chain Schnuck Markets Inc. has laid off 52 corporate employees, the company announced Friday.
The move affects about 10 percent of its corporate workforce of 500, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
“This move streamlines our organizational structure, increases store support and positions Schnucks for long-term growth,” spokesman Paul Simon said.
