Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt sued Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas over the city's new mask mandate.
Schmitt's office alleges the mandate is unconstitutional.
Lucas denounced the suit and vowed to defend the newly enacted mandate created in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.
