Scalise in critical condition after attack

Congressman Steve Scalise was in critical condition on Wednesday night, according to Reuters.

Scalise and three others were shot by a gunman yesterday as they practiced for a charity baseball game. The gunman was shot and arrested at the scene. He later died.

Scalise was shot in the left hip, suffering broken bones, injuries to internal organs and severe bleeding. He underwent surgery but will need further operations.
