The annual Faces & Places in Construction Contest is a showcase of on-the-job, candid photography by employees of Salute Council member organizations. Cash prizes totaling $400 are awarded to the winners in the categories of Faces, Places and Best of Show during the Salute to Construction banquet Nov. 8.
Jonna Mahy of Rogersville, an employee of Towe Construction Co. Inc., took first place in the Places category with her shot taken in front of Marshfield City Hall during a drainage construction project. We think the photo says it all.
Keith Wallis of Prestressed Casting Co. placed second in the Places category with his shot of the Meyer Library addition at Southwest Missouri State University.
Emily McGee of The Builders' Association was the photographer on the third-place winner in the Places category with her shot of the carillon tower, part of the Meyer Library addition at SMSU.
