A rousing introduction by the Springfield Cardinals and the team’s cheerleaders set the stage Thursday night for the annual 40 Under 40 event, a recognition of the area’s most accomplished individuals under the age of 40.

The Springfield Business Journal event drew about 375 people to the Oasis Inn & Convention Center. Honorees were given awards and introduced by emcees Kevin Howard and Liz Delany, from Alice 95.5, who detailed each recipient’s achievements and community involvement.

The Springfield Cardinals were the platinum sponsor for the ninth annual event.

The honorees, in alphabetical order, are:
