The Small Business Administration reopened the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program to all small businesses.
The SBA quietly closed the program to new applicants more than a month ago. At that time, it also lowered the total loan amount available to $150,000 from $2 million. Agricultural companies have still been able to take out loans through the program.
The loans, which carry a 3.75% interest rate for businesses and 2.75% interest rate for nonprofits, can be used for debts, payroll and other bills.
