SATIRE: Buffett dealership purchase excites Parrotheads

Get the office margarita machine ready because Mr. Buffett is coming to town.

Buffett purchased Kansas City-based Van Tuyl Group –  the nation’s largest car dealership group – which includes 12 Springfield dealerships such as Reliable Chevrolet and Reliable Imports.

“I’m really excited that Jimmy Buffet is now an owner of dealers in the area,” Nate Flegflop told the Fair City News. “I think a little island fun will increase sales of vehicles. I hope they come out with a new car scent: Cheeseburger in Paradise.”

Springfield dealerships anticipate a motto shift, which will include free margaritas for customers and vehicles preloaded with Buffett's greatest hits.
