Sanofi to buy Translate Bio for $3.2B

Sanofi penned a deal to buy Translate Bio Inc. for $3.2 billion.

The company intends to use the purchase to expand into messenger-RNA development.

Sanofi is getting a potential bargain “in a very hot therapeutic area,” said Wimal Kapadia, an analyst at Bernstein.
