San Francisco voters ousted three school board members in a recall vote on Tuesday.
Board President Gabriela López, Vice President Faauuga Moliga and Commissioner Alison Collins were ousted by more than 70% of voters.
The recall effort was due, in part, to misplaced priorities. The board during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic considered changing the names of as many as 44 public schools in a city that was still grappling with how to safely reopen them, CNN reports.
