San Francisco loses largest convention of the year

The American College of Rheumatology canceled what would have been San Francisco's largest convention of the year.

The in-person convention had been scheduled for November. Some 16,000 attendees were expected at San Francisco's Moscone Center. Event officials cited the lingering coronavirus pandemic.

The event in 2019 brought $11 billion into the city, according to SFGate.com.
