Samsung picks Vietnam for $3B smartphone factory

Samsung plans to spend up to $3 billion to create a new smartphone factory in Vietnam.

The facility would operate alongside a $2 billion plan the company already operates in the country, according to BBC News.

Vietnam exported $19.2 billion worth of mobile telephones and accessories over the first 10 months of the year - 8 percent more than for the same period in 2013, according to Vietnam's General Statistics Office.
