Samsung heir arrested in corruption scandal

Lee Jae-yong, Samsung's de facto leader, has been arrested on corruption allegations.

Lee will be held in a detention center pending an investigation that he allegedly pledged tens of millions of dollars to win favor with President Park Geun-hye. He allegedly tried to secure government support for a controversial merger.

He's accused of bribery, perjury, concealing criminal profits, embezzlement and hiding assets overseas.
