Samsung confirms launch dates for new Galaxy Note 8

Less than a year after recalling the Galaxy Note 7 over battery fires, Samsung is ready to release the latest phone in the product series.

Company officials say the Galaxy Note 8 will launch in late August and go on sale in two waves. The first will start in September.

The release is consistent with past debuts by Samsung.
