Salesforce shareholders have rejected the company's compensation plan for top executives, including CEO Marc Benioff.
Shareholder advisory groups have reportedly raised concerns about equity awards granted to Benioff.
The shareholder vote at the company's annual meeting is nonbinding, but board officials said they "will consider the outcome of this vote when making future executive compensation decisions."
