Salesforce agrees to buy Slack for $27B

Salesforce announced it would purchase chat software developer Slack for more than $27 billion.

The deal marks the largest acquisition in Salesforce's 21-year history. It's also one of the biggest deals ever in the software industry.

Slack's business chat service has more than 130,000 paid customers.
