Saint Louis University reaches data breach settlement

Saint Louis University has reached a settlement deal in a class-action lawsuit filed over a data breach.

The school is reportedly making up to $2 million available for impacted individuals. Those impacted could get up to $2,500.

The lawsuit against SLU and health provider SSM last year alleged a “willful and reckless violation of privacy rights.” The data breach involved SLU records between December 2022 and July 2023.
