Zweerink proudly describes himself as a “devoted husband and father of two,” who is dedicated to his family and furthering the Springfield community.
Zweerink is president of OLS Inc., an equipment distributor, and is vice president of U.S. Photonics Inc., a nanotechnology company that develops precision machining.
“We are bringing new and better paying jobs to Springfield which is positively impacting the lives of Springfield families,” he said. “I strive for excellence in business leadership, demand a high level of professionalism and know that the backbone of my success is driven by honesty and integrity in all business endeavors.”
Zweerink has grown OLS from two employees and one location in 2000, to more than 25 employees and six locations in 2005.
At U.S. Photonics, Zweerink has helped to develop “the world’s first industrial-based femtosecond laser used for micro and nano-machining.”
“I take this opportunity very seriously in that this technology is impacting people’s lives and health with improvements to implantable devices, including heart valves, stints and artificial larynx solutions, just to name a few,” he added, noting that by helping to bring new and better paying jobs to the Ozarks, both companies are having a positive impact on local families.
A lifelong southwest Missourian, Zweerink is a member of the Ash Grove Elementary School Parent-Teachers Organization and the Booster Club. He donated labor, pipe, materials and equipment to improve the school’s playground.
Zweerink also supports Watoto Children’s Ministries in Uganda, Big BrothersBig Sisters, Bikers Against Child Abuse and Habitat for Humanity.

A relocation to Nixa from Republic and a rebranding occurred for Aspen Elevated Health; Kuick Noodles LLC opened; and Phelps County Bank launched a new southwest Springfield branch.
