Russian journalist to sell Nobel Prize for Ukrainian children

ussian journalist Dmitry Muratov on Monday night plans to auction off his Nobel Peace Prize medal.

Muratov, who was awarded the medal in October 2021, helped found independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta. He was its editor when Russia shut down the publication in March amid the Kremlin’s clampdown on journalists and public dissent in response to the invasion of Ukraine.

Proceeds of the auction will go toward UNICEF's work to help children displaced by the war in Ukraine.
