Russia has officially banned LinkedIn. The social network for professionals was not accessible from Russia on Thursday.
The country's communications regulator took action against the site because it doesn't comply with personal data storage regulations.
Specifically, LinkedIn violated a Russian rule that all of its citizens' data must be stored on servers inside the country.
