Russia banned from Olympics, World Cup

Russia has been banned from all major sporting events for four years.

Russia's Anti Doping Agency was declared noncompliant for manipulating laboratory data, BBC News reports.

The ban handed down by the World Anti-Doping Agency means Russia cannot fly its flag at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the 2022 soccer World Cup in Qatar. Russian athletes who prove they aren't part of the doping scandal will be able to compete under a neutral flag.
