Ruby Tuesday, which recently closed restaurants in Springfield, Nixa and Republic, is considering a sale.

Company officials said "strategic alternatives" are being explored, including a potential sale or merger.

The news was coupled with an announcement that quarterly revenue declined nearly 17 percent to $225.7 million.
