The Kansas City Royals have reached agreements with eight players for 2015 contracts, including a pair of post-season standouts: pitcher Yordano Ventura and infielder Christian Colon.

Ventura, 23, had a 3.2 ERA with a 14-10 record in 2014. Last year, his rookie season, the pitcher threw 159 strikeouts and pitched seven shutout innings in game six of the World Series. In 2015, he is slated to earn $535,675, according to the Kansas City Star.

Colon, 25, agreed to a contract this year of $509,525. After being called up from the minors in September, Colon hit .333 for the Royals, and in the post-season, he drove in the tying run and scored the winning run in the Wild Card Game win against the Oakland A’s.

Other nonarbitration-eligible players that signed 2015 contracts are infielder Orlando Calixte, $507,500; outfielders Terrence Gore, $508,000, Reymond Fuentes, $508,200, and Paulo Orlando, $507,500; catcher Francisco Pena, $508,700; and pitcher Jandel Gustave, $507,500.
